Doris Cheng

Ms. Cheng is a member of our general liability, medical malpractice, product liability and medical device liability practice group. Her areas of concentration include wrongful death, catastrophic injury, obstetrical injury, government liability, medical negligence, vehicular negligence and sexual molestation. She has prosecuted cases throughout California, and tried cases in multiple Bay Area counties. She has experience in trial, mediation and arbitration.

A graduate of the University of California at Davis, Ms. Cheng attended USF School of Law from which she graduated with distinction in 1998 as a Public Interest Law Scholar. In 1997, she served as an extern law clerk to the Honorable Saundra Brown Armstrong, United States District Judge for the Northern District of California.

Active in local Bar affairs, she has been elected to membership on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, and also sits as a member of the Board of Governors for the University of San Francisco School of Law. In the past, she served as Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco's Barristers Club newsletter, and is active in the American Inns of Court, having served as Program Chair and Secretary / Treasurer of the USF Inn of Court.

She serves on the teaching faculty and the executive committee for the University of San Francisco School of Law's Intensive Advocacy Program. She also serves as an adjunct member of the faculty for Emory University's Kessler-Eidson Trial Techniques Program.

Ms. Cheng is an accomplished teacher of civil litigation advocacy, and serves as the Assistant Program Director for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy's West Regional Teacher Training Program. In addition, she has served as a faculty member for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy at its Western Regional (San Francisco), Pacific Regional (San Diego), Southwest Regional (Albuquerque) and National (Boulder, Colorado) Trial Skills Programs.

She is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Trial Lawyer's Association, and Consumer Attorneys of California.
