DORIS CHENG: The law firm of Walkup, Melodia, Kelly and Schoenberger has been in existence since 1959 and has handled Muni cases ever since Muni has been in existence. Many of the people in San Francisco understand how Muni works and in fact have witnessed on a first hand basis that the drivers are not safe, that frequently they are taking advantage of the Roadway when they should not be and driving in a manor that is unsafe for the public. Many of the cases in which we have had successful jury verdicts have been large catastrophic cases where Muni refused to settle either because they did not believe, or did not want to believe that they should pay large sums of money to somebody who had life long injuries, someone who would never get out of a chair, someone who would not be able to bathe themselves, or even communicate. This firm has over a half a century of experience, that's something that money can't buy and something that our firm offers that nobody else can. The founder of this firm, Bruce Walkup, had to have keen insight into how to defend cases against Muni.
