SamTrans

San Francisco SamTrans Bus Injury Lawyers
 

The San Mateo County Transit District operates the SamTrans bus service and Redi-Wheels ParaTransit services. It also administers the CalTrain rail service, a shuttle program, and has partnered with BART to develop and operate the BART-SFO extension to the Millbrae BART station.

Over the last 27 years the transit district has grown dramatically. It has expanded service and recently celebrated 30 years as a transit agency. As with other transit agencies, if you are injured on, or by, a SamTrans operated vehicle, you are required to file a government tort claim with SamTrans governing board before any lawsuit can move forward.

The Board of Directors consists of nine appointed members from various leadership positions within the community: two are from the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, one is an appointed expert appointed by the Board of Supervisors; three are City Council persons from different judicial districts in San Mateo County; and three are public members.

The SamTrans Board meets the second Wednesday of each month. The Board's secretary is located at 1250 San Carlos Avenue, San Carlos, CA 94070.
